Rik got a text today confirming the next consultancy appointment for 4pm on 12th September (so they really DO mean 6 weeks post op!). These will be the results from the second op and what treatment will be going forward.
As it happens, we could do with it being slightly earlier in the day. Rik called to see if it could possibly be moved, only to be informed that it would "mostly likely be JANUARY before he would get another appointment" - WTF!?!?! Methinks the secretary doth lie.
She does, however, tell us that if we get there at 2pm there is a good chance the consultant might see us before the allotted time slot, so that will be the plan. Fingers crossed we can nip in earlier!
So only have a week of worry to go and then we shall have some more information.
