Countdown is on...

I like counting down to things...birthdays...Christmas...anniversary...holidays...so may come as no surprise that I subconsciously find myself counting down to the next cystoscopy.

I meant to post about it yesterday as it would be one month to go, but we were distracted as we went out to a recording of The Infinite Monkey Cage, with Robin Ince and Professor Brian Cox.  The recording was very good, interesting, informative, AND funny - how very dare they really!!  It was a lovely early evening out with good friends and new friends and not least because my very good friend, Linz, happens to know Mrs Professor Brian Cox, and the pair of us got to sit down the front with her - yeah yeah extremely tenuous claim to fame there!!

Anyway, back to the countdown in question...we have a LOT of things going on before the cystoscopy, so should keep ourselves distracted.

Rik is getting on with his wall of light project - where he is utilising one of his Raspberry Pis, hundreds of blue LEDs and a large amount of wire and soldering - shall post pics and/or video when it's complete.  He is back to work, which is excellent news.  He had a couple of weeks working from home, but is now back to office a couple of days a week too - nice for him to have social contact and some form of normality tbh.

I've got some nights coming up (tonight is a paperwork night for assessments we do but next week we are out on site taking those assessments - fingers crossed for no rain!!).

One of my nieces gets married this month, so we have a trip up to Newcastle to do - our little lady is staying with my parents for the whole wedding weekend whilst we are staying in the hotel, so get to have some time together and room service breakfasts!!  Suddenly feeling rather old with the fact my niece is getting married...another niece has just gone off to university...I am rapidly running low on little nieces and nephews as they keep growing up!!!

The atmosphere in the house has either maintained itself or has improved, hard to say, but generally it's feeling a bit more happy and a lot less stressed...here's hoping we can keep this going until the cystoscopy!!

Hmmmm reading this it almost feels like a "Dear Diary..." moment...it's not...like I'd let you lot read my diary!!
